NOTE: All classes are booked in advance and Instructors are paid on a "per student" basis - Because of this we may not be able to accommodate special requests, schedule changes or cancellations without fees. Should you wish to cancel after you have already registered for a specific class our Cancellation Policy is;

• More than 14 days from the start date - we will try to fill your spot with another diver.  If we are unable to fill your spot, you will be charged a $50 Tuition Cancellation fee.
• Less than 14 days from the start date - we will try to fill your spot with another diver.  If we are unable to fill your spot, you will be charged a $100 Tuition Cancellation fee.
• Less than 7 days from the start date - you will be charged a $149 Tuition & Pool Rental Fee.

This is our Accelerated program for those of you limited on time. The beach dives program incorporates about 24 hours of Instruction in Class, Pool and Beach Diving Sessions only. Once you Complete all Class, Pool and 4 OpenWater Dives - your Instructor can sign you off.  This Course runs the same as our most Popular Course above, but does not include a Boat Trip (It's all Beach Dives) because of its' accelerated format.

We recommend this Course for those Students who:

1. Do not have week-nights available for Classes.
2. Wish to complete the Course as Quickly as Possible.
3. Have Excellent Study Habits and will come to the First Class with ALL Chapters Completed.

Our Referral program is for those of you limited on time or not wishing to Dive in our Beautiful (although Slightly Colder) Local Waters.

The Referral Program incorporates about 15 hours of Instruction focusing only on Class Room and Pool Skills.  You may complete the Final Four Open Water Dives in more Tropical Waters. 

Although this class costs less, be aware you will incur expenses at the other end to complete your PADI Open Water Certification.  We would be happy to provide you with the names of PADI Dive Centers located at your destination should you choose this option or you may Click Here for a listing of PADI Resorts.

(It's our experience you will pay approximately $175 to $350 to finish your dives elsewhere -  (note "approximately" means just that - whomever you deal with for completion is free to charge any amount).

We recommend this Course for those Students who:

1. Do not want to Dive Locally (Though you're missing out)
2. Are Limited on time and are unable to complete the Regular Class prior to a trip you may have already planned.

This is our Favorite Program and also Big Fun! The Catalina Weekend program incorporates 24 hours of Instruction. the first weekend is split between classroom and pool time on both Saturday & Sunday.  The second weekend is two full days on Catalina Island making your Open Water Dives off Casino Point!

Prior to Starting Your PADI Open Water Class:

• Call us to set a Schedule.  Please enroll at Least 2 Weeks prior to start date.
• Visit our San Pedro Dive Center to Pick-up your Books & Loaner DVD.
• Get fitted & Purchase your Basic Snorkeling Gear at either Location.
• Read your PADI Open Water Book and Complete All 5 Knowledge Reviews at the end of each Chapter.
• View your DVD in its entirety.
• Fill out your Medical release in FULL.  If you answer ANY of the questions on the Medical Form "Yes" you will need to get a signed release from your Doctor.  Click Here for Medical Release Form.

Bring to your First Class/Pool Session:

• Your Signed Medical Release. (Doctor's Release, as well, if you answered any Medical Questions "Yes".
• Your Books and DVD (DVD to be returned), plus completed homework assignments (All 5 Chapters) to hand into your Instructor.

Typical Schedule:

Weekend #1 

Saturday morning you'll meet at the San Pedro Store at 9:00 am.  You'll do some paperwork, Classroom review and break for lunch around noon.  Following Lunch you'll do your swim assessment in our on site, indoor heated pool (85 degrees of comfy, clear, clean water).  Following, you'll put on SCUBA gear & practice honing your Diving Skills.  Class should wrap up around 5 pm.

Sunday morning you'll meet at the San Pedro Store at 9:00 am again.  Start with a Classroom review, Final exam and break for lunch around Noon.  Following Lunch you'll put on SCUBA gear & practice honing your Diving Skills and run through Dive scenarios to make you comfortable in the water.  Class should wrap up around 5 pm.

Weekend #2 

Saturday morning you'll take the Early Catalina Express Boat to Avalon with fellow students and your Instructor(s).  The Seaport Village Inn Van will meet our Group at the Dock to help us with Gear & People Transport to the Dive Site.  They will take your Luggage to the Hotel and store it while your group prepares to Dive.  You'll make two Dives with your PADI Instructor at Casino Point.  Following the dives, the Van will pick you & your gear up and take you to the Hotel.  You can then clean up if you wish and have the rest of the day off to enjoy Avalon.  You'll be spending the night in a 4-5 person "Bedroom Guest Suite" with a full Bath and Kitchen. 

Sunday morning you'll awaken to an early Breakfast (Included) prior to making your final two Beach dives off Casino Point.  The Seaport Village Inn Van will meet our Group at the Hotel to help us with Gear & People Transport to the Dive Site.  Following the dives  to complete your Open Water Certification, the Van will bring you back to the Hotel.  You should be wrapped up by noon and depart back to the mainland at about 4 pm.  So you'll have some time to get some lunch and share stories with your fellow - newly Certified divers!

NOTE: All Hotel and boat reservations are booked more than 10 days in advance - Because of this we may not be able to accommodate special requests.  Additionally, we pay a fee based on the number of people who register for the class.  Should you wish to cancel after you have already made payment our Cancellation Policy is;

2. It allows those with Difficult or Varying Work Schedules to take Classes.

• Boat Dives - Should you Choose, you will need to Dedicate a Full Day. Our Boat Trips are scheduled a Year in Advance and can be Viewed Here. Look up any "Shop Boat Dive" and use those dates in planning your Schedule.  (Boat Fee is a Flat Rate of $100 per person extra for all Private Classes)

The Private Referral Program incorporates about 15 hours of Instruction focusing only on Class Room and Pool Skills.  You may complete the Final Four Open Water Dives in more Tropical Waters. 

Although this class costs less than the Regular Private Class above, be aware you will incur expenses at the other end to complete your PADI Open Water Certification.   We would be happy to provide you with the names of PADI Dive Centers located at your destination should you choose this option or you may Click Here for a listing of PADI Resorts.

(It's our experience you will pay approximately $175 to $350 to finish your dives elsewhere -  (note "approximately" means just that - whomever you deal with for completion is free to charge any amount).

We recommend this Course for those Students who:

1. Do not want to Dive Locally (Though you're missing out).
2. Are Limited on time and are unable to complete the Regular Class prior to a trip you may have already planned.
3. Wish to have Individualized Attention
4. Desire Smaller Class Sizes
