Imagine sliding through the water, accompanied
not by the roar of bubbles, but by silence. Imagine getting close and
personal with aquatic life – getting closer than ever before. When you dive
with a semi-closed Rebreather, you’re nearly bubble free – reducing the
noise and disturbance that can scare away shy creatures.
More and more popular every day,
Rebreathers are now a big hit with recreational scuba divers. So why not learn how to use
one by enrolling in PADI's semi-closed Rebreather course? This program will introduce you
to the Dräger Dolphin semi-closed
Rebreather and help you develop the knowledge, skills
and techniques necessary in using this system.
With the optimal reuse
of your breathing gas, your consumption drops by up to 90%, meaning the
Dolphin canister may last for many dives and a small 20 cu ft tank for the
whole dive. The chemical reaction involved in the absorption of carbon
dioxide in a Rebreather generates heat and moisture. You will enjoy
pleasantly warm and moist inhaled air, making your dives even more
comfortable. Also, the lower level of nitrogen in Nitrox increases your
no-decompression limits.
DOLPHIN REBREATHER The Secret of Silence - When you slide beneath the surface you
instantly become a part of a different world - a silent world. With a Dräger
Rebreather you become "one" with the silent world and acutely aware of the
silence it brings. Shy marine inhabitants are no longer afraid of your
presence and accept you as a free member of their world.
For the first time you can experience
diving the underwater world as it should be - in almost total silence.
